Maru was well aware of the holiday going on. She still worked of course, after all many ponies wanted to buy something for their 'special somepony'. Buckham was bustling with ponies of all kinds. Mostly looking for last minute gifts for their loved ones. Her shop had attracted many ponies, males mostly. Her little shop was more of a stand, covered in various silks and even some beautiful hoof-stiched garbs made by yours truly. They hung on wooden rods that shot out of the stand. Below, there were various shelves that held the jewelry, from hooflets to necklaces.
The kirin was silent, only speaking when asked about something somepony wanted to buy. A unicorn stallion held up a necklace decorated with various gems and carefully designed in a sort of winged shape, "what is this made of?"
"The blue is amethyst, green is emerald. The necklace itself is silver."
"How much?"
"8o bits."
The unicorn handed her the money. She took it and wrapped up the necklace with some blue paper, and placed it in a little box. He took it and she was onto the next customer. It was busy, but she liked busy.
