"Uh-uhm. Would--" He cleared his throat. "Would you uhm." He pasued again. Wow, this was difficult. He didn't think he could do it. William was scared of rejection, probably. He shook a little, blush still on his face. "Claire would you become my spe--" Just at that time the waiter came over and set there food on the table, two plates. "Here you are. If you need anything else, just ask, alright?" Then they trotted away to go deal with another customer.

"Oh-" She was jolted out of paying attention to Puddy as the waiter interrupted, placing the plates in between the two. The smell of the delicious pasta reminded her just how hungry she was as her stomach audibly growled. Her blush, which was fading, darkened immensly in embarrasment. "Oh um..." The food, it beckoned, but Puddy was about to ask her something...

With a heavy sigh, Puddy let go of Claires hooves. "Lets eat." He said lightly. For once, he wasn't hungery. He was so focused on Claire he didn't want to eat- it didn't mean he wouldn't eat, because he was definitely going to eat- but he would have rather asked Claire that question then eat right now. He looked up at her before he started to eat.

Claire was still extremely curious about what he was about to ask, but she decided that right now she should focus on filling her grumbling stomach. As she ate, she pondered over the words he stuttered over before their meal arrive. Obviously he was asking her to become... what? She stopped chewing for a second before swallowing hard. "Puddy... Were you asking me to... be your special somepony?"

Puddy blushed deeply when she asked that. What? She figured it out- Well, she wasn't stupid, but he didn't get to finish his question. "Uhm. Well." He took a big gulp of his drink then nodded, pushing the glass away. "Y-yes. Yes I was." Goodness, this was embarrassing for some reason; he couldn't look her in the eye.
