Roleplay between atomickitten and Rainb0wTwister. THIS IS AN EXCLUSIVE ROLEPLAY!! Characters: Sweet Peach and Blueberry Cobbler (and Puddy as mailpony) Setting: Buckham and Colton
The sun was just starting to go down as Blueberry finished up jarring freshly made blueberry jam, his kitchen a mess and he even got some of the jam in his fur but he stood there with pride before a whole crate of jars filled to the brim with jam that sat on the counter ready to be sent to the market in the morning. He gave an accomplished sigh before walking to the washroom to clean up, but he stopped just before the door and looked at his typewriter on his desk. It was clunky and had ink stains, even some blueberry juice stains, but he used it to write letters to his family in Buckham and across the seas. But tonight, he'd been thinking about the mare he met at his bakery so long ago: Sweet Peach
"It's been a while since ah seen her," he muttered to himself. "Fergot she lived in Buckham...Maybe I can send her a letter. Puddy should know where she lives."
He trotted over to his desk and took a seat before his typewriter, staring at it for a brief moment. "What in the hay should I say to her?" he thought to himself, a blush coming to his cheeks as he went through every cheesy cliche in his head. He shook his head and started typing with his blueberry-covered hooves."Dear Sweet Peach,
Hi, it's Blueberry Cobbler. I am writing to see how you are doing. It's been a while since we talked or even seen each other and wanted to know how live life has been in Buckham for you. How goes the farm? Get a good crop last season? I'm sure you got lots of good peaches out of it. At least I hope so, I know the winter this year was pretty harsh, even my crops got a hit, made demand higher. Who knew a shortage of blueberries would make ponies want them more! Haha!
Um ... so ... yeah.
I'm not sure what else to say so I guess I'll wait for your response!
Love Sincerely, Blueberry Cobbler"
Blueberry sighed as if holding his breath the entire time typing the letter, but then he chuckled and took the letter from the typewriter. He pulled an envelope from his desk drawer and slipped the letter in, sealing it with a little blueberry sticker like he always did.
"Ah sure hope Puds is doing his mail run in th'mornin'," he hoped to himself as he trotted to the front door. "He'll be able to deliver it to her easily."
He slipped the letter through the mail slot in the door and made sure it stuck out enough for the mailpony to see, even opening the door to make double sure. He smiled and headed back inside to wash up before bed, eager to hear from Sweet Peach.

Indeed that next morning Puddy J was up and awake with the rising sun. He went from door to door taking mail from the ponies boxes and replacing them with bills, photos, and even love letters. He trotted onto Blueberrys home and took the mail from his mailbag and stuffed it in his mailbox neatly. Not before grabbing the love letter that was on its way out. Puddy looked at the address with a smile; how sweet of him, he thought. He then turned, and trotted off to the next home. A quarter to noon, Puddy had sent all of his mail- that didn't belong in Colton- to the other mail ponies on their way to the different towns. He explained to the Buckham pony that this letter was important and where to deliver it. Later the same day that letter was set into the peach loving ponys mailbox.
When the red headed mare trotted over to her little pink mailbox outside of her farm. She walked over and took out the blueberry stamped letter; it seemed to be her only piece of mail that day. He looked it over. "From Colton?" She mumbled to herself. Peach turned over the letter and saw the stamp. She smiled one of her embarrassed, shy smiled. As she made her way inside she started to read the letter. "Dear Sweet Peach..."
When she was done with the letter she held it close to her chest and bit her lip lightly. Was he not the cutest stallion ever? Sweets even remembered what his voice sounded like, that beautiful accent of his. He set the letter down next to her dusty old typewriter as she wanted into her work room- which was really just a book room with an old and barely used typewriter her grandmother left her. He stared at the letter that her crush sent her and started to type her own message.
"Dear Blueberry Cobbler, Im so happy that you wrote me! I miss you. To answer your question, I am fine. My orchard has been doing slightly well. Last harvest was not very helpful since more then half of my peaches didn't make it in the winter. Buckham isn't a town for peaches. Not enough peach ponies here, I think. I was suppose to stop by and get some of your amazing blueberries, but I was so busy with my own fruit I forgot. Im sorry Blueberry. But enough about me.. how are you? We haven't talked in so long. I would love like to receive more letters from you Blueberry dear. With love From, Sweet Peach"
And with the last letter printed onto the page Peach grabbed the letter she wrote to her friend and stuffed it into a envelope. Not until she drew three hearts around the page; she always did that in letters, decorated them. She sealed the letter with a little peach coloured sticker and lightly sprayed it with her perfume that she wears. Ponies in the moves did that, so why couldn't she, right? Sweets excitedly put that newly written letter and put it in the mail and headed inside to finish her morning.
The next day the mail pony of Buckham took the letter from her box and trotted over to meet Puddy halfway with his letters going to Colton. Puddy took the letters and was given Blueberrys return letter. As expected, Puddy walked all through town delivering the mail ponies needed to have. When he arrived at Blues door he opened the mailbox, stuffed the nice letter inside and trotted off to finish his duties.

Blueberry woke that next morning eager to check the mail which was new for him since he never really got excited for mail before! But this time was different. He didn't bother fixing his mane or making his bed before he trotted happily out of his room. He could hear his cousin, Raspberry, groaning sleepily in her room down the hall, thinking he woke her which, in his mind, would be the worst possible thing, so he hushed his hoofsteps, tiptoeing out to the front door to retrieve the mail. Quietly he opened the door, careful not to make it creak or ring the bell above, and he poked his head out to catch letters sticking out of the mailbox. He gave an excited whinny and pushed the door open with his head, quickly hopping over and snatching the mail between his teeth. Just as he headed back inside, he stopped dead in his tracks and inhaled the sweet scent of perfume. Blueberry sighed dreamily as if the aroma had sent him into a love trance.
"Mmm, Shweet Peath," he muttered to himself with the letters between his teeth, a goofy smile on his face as he trotted back to his room.
He sat onto his bed and carefully lifted the sticker off of the letter, sticking it onto his own snout with a soft chuckle before starting to read the letter, the smile never leaving his face as he read every single word she typed, imagining her, practically daydreaming about her. Once he finished the letter, he sprung from his bed and trotted over to his typewriter, quickly getting to work typing a response to his darling Sweets.
"Dear Peach,
I'm so glad you got my letter! I couldn't stop smiling when I was reading yours. Not because of your situation, that would be mean of me I mean I was smiling just because I got your letter I was so happy Anyway sor-"
Blueberry stopped before he typed any more and looked at his letter so far, seeing he'd forgot to puncuate and giving himself a light smack on the forehead. "C'mon, Cobbler, pay attention!" he ordered himself before ripping the paper from the feeder and putting in a new page.
"Dear Sweet Peach,
I'm so glad you responded. I really look forward to your letters. I've been doing pretty fine. Just running the shop, tending the garden, dealing with my cousin. It's all been really great. Well, except for the thing with my cousin. You remember how bad she was the first time you met her, right? Haha. Anyway, sorry to hear about your orchards. I hope you got at least a decent crop. I know Buckham isn't an ideal place for a peach orchard, and not a whole lot of ponies around here know much about farming, but maybe I can give you some tips to help keep your crop safe! My blueberries manage to keep growing almost year round with a few tricks I use. Speaking of my harvest, I'd more than like it if you dropped by to pick some up. You're welcome to as many as you want whenever you want! Or maybe I can make a trip to Buckham and deliver them myself. I'm sure Razzy could tend the shop for a day. I'd really like to see you again!
By the way, your perfume smells beautiful.
With warm regards, Blueberry Cobbler"
Blueberry couldn't wait to get his letter to Sweets, so instead of waiting for the mailpony to come pick it up, he galloped straight to the post office with the letter tucked into his hankerchief to make sure it got to her as soon as possible, getting odd glances from ponies he prumped by for the sticker he had stuck to his snout. He trotted into the office and looked around for his familiar mailpony buddy.

Puddy was around the back of the post office. He was on his little break, drinking some very expensive tea. Blueberry was on his mind-along with another green haired pony. He couldn't help but remember the letter he got from him to mail to Sweet. When he was finished with the tea, he trotted into the front of the office when he noticed Blueberry. Speak of the devil. Wondering what he was looking for, Puddy trotted over and tapped him on the shoulder. "Hey Cobbler, what are you doin' in the post office today?" Puddy was curious, even though he had an idea of why. He noticed that Blueberry and Sweet were sending messages to and from. They must miss each other an awful lot; Peach hasn't been to Colton for a long time.
Back in Buckham, Sweet Peach was sweeping her porch. It was a new day and by now Blueberry must be reading the letter that she sent to him. Well, she hoped that he was reading it. Her heart couldn't help but race when she thought about it. She took the broom in her hooves and swept the floor clean; then she set the broom down against the wall. Now that the sweeping was finished, she trotted through the house and ended up in the backyard. Time to check on the trees; she started to trot up and down the lines of trees. Now she starting dreaming about Blueberry Cobbler.
"Oh Sweet Peach, Ah' am so excit'ed to see you ah'gan." Sweet said to herself as she tried to impersonate Blueberry's accent. She was totally in character. "Oh Blueberry, darlin'! I am so happy to see you again as well!" She sighed in her own voice this time.
She danced around that ol' farm of hers, talking to herself almost most of the time, blushing and giggling like a little school filly with a crush on the popular colt, while she checked the trees. Oh boy- she needed to see Blueberry again. She had too! She must! She missed him so much; his soft blue hair, his beautiful sky-like eyes! Oh- and don't forget about his heavy accent! Having a little bitty country accent like hers really made her fall in love with his heavier one. She hoped that this day would be over soon so she could get his letter tomorrow--hoping that he would write back--and she could read all of his beautiful words off of the paper! She had already put his first letter in a drawer that she wasn't using. Peach couldn't wait to fill up the whole drawer with his letters!

Blueberry spun around when he felt somepony tap his shoulder then when he saw it was Puddy, he gave a big happy smile, trotting in place. He sure was happy to see the little pegasus, pulling the letter from his hankerchief and shaking his head side to side excitedly before giving it to Puddy.
"Ah need ya tah git this letter to Sweet Peach as soon as y'can!" he chimed enthusiastically. He was truly a colt smitten by a beautiful mare, it was obvious in his eyes.
Blueberry didn't even give Puddy time to respond before dashing out the door and trotting back home, his smile so bright he could blind a bat. He kept thinking of seeing Sweets again, that gorgeous rosy mane that she tied into a cute bow at the end. Then he remembered the last time they were together and he froze in his tracks, a flush coming to his cheeks as he recounted...
"She almost kissed me," he muttered to himself, feeling his heart start to race just thinking about how close they got. He really liked Sweet Peach, possibly more than just a crush, and the thought of being able to be with her again made his smile grow even bigger, already making plans before even knowing when he'll get to see her.

Puddy took the letter from the blue haired pony. "Oh well I am off duty to-" And before the end of the sentence, Blueberry was gone. Williams ears went flat as he got his bag and put the letter in it carefully. He started to make his way to Buckham it took him a while, almost the whole day. But when he got there he knocked on the door of the peach loving mare. He handed her the letter.
Sweet Peach jumped with glee as she got the letter from her chubby friend! She jumped up and down excitedly, before welcoming him in for some tea. She explained to him that she would get writing right away so Puddy should just relax and help himself to the kitchen- which was a bad idea- and in return Puddy told her how eager Blueberry was to get this letter to her. She trotted to her little typewriter and started to read his letter. When she was finished she sighed and held the letter close, imagining it was her crush- crush? No, probably something much more then a crush.
"Dear darling,..."
She couldn't help herself when she typed.
"Dear darling, I am so glad you received my letter. I was thinking about whether you got it or not all day. Im glad to hear that business for you is still good even if you have to deal with your cousin. If we ever do get around to it, I would love to get tips on how to keep my crop alive during the hard times. I absolutely hate it when I see one of my trees die or not get enough peaches. Also, I was wondering when would be a good time to go to Colton. Or for you to come down here. I really miss you, Blueberry dear. I wouldn't mind if you came down to Buckham. We could spend time in my orchard. Oh- or I could go over to Colton and help you run the shop. Of course, I would need to get some of your delicious blueberries while I am there or when you are hear. I have been craving them a lot lately. Maybe it has been because I have been thinking about a very handsome blue haired colt that lived in Colton. Who knows?~ And by the way- Puddy told me how adorable you were jumping up and down excitedly about wanting to get your letter to me. I think that is so cute. Oh, and thank you. I thought you would like that scent. I do. Sincerely, Sweet Peach."
So after the letter was ready she jumped out of her seat, lightly stuffed the letter into an envelope, sprits some of her perfume on it again and gave it to Puddy, a pony who had peach all over his face. With a wave and big smile from Sweet, Puddy sent off to his home town, Colton. It took him the rest of the day to get back, but once he did, he trotted over to Blueberries farm- of course sneaking some blueberries- and knocked on the door. "Blueberry! I have a letter for you!

Blueberry was in the middle of mixing up some batter for tomorrow morning's batch of blueberry almond scones when he heard the knock at his door followed by Puddy's voice. He immediately set down his bowl and trotted to the door, flinging it open. He invited the pegasus in to relax and let him have his fill of some of the fresh blueberries he had picked earlier, a whole two bushels sitting beside the counter piled high with berries. He took the letter from Puddy and went on reading it, his cheeks blushing at the first line.
"Heh...She called me darlin'," he sighed, the goofiest grin imaginable spreading across his face. He snapped out of his daze to continue reading the letter.
Once he finished reading-and getting over how she called him handsome which left him a wobbly giggling mess-he immediately trotted to his typewriter to get working on his letter, forgetting he left Puddy alone with his blueberries which probably wasn't the best idea but Blueberry was too focused on getting back to Sweets.
"Dear Peach,
I would be more than happy to go down to Buckham to visit! I can let Razzy run the shop for a couple days while I'm away and I can bring some berries for you! I'm a strong stallion, I'd be willing to pull a cart all the way to Buckham just to see you. I've missed you a whole lot since you went back home, so a delivery would be a perfect excuse to take a trip. I can get a good crop together and head out on the trail in a couple days..."
Blueberry paused then looked at his calendar on his wall, realizing what day is coming up and his ears pricked forward. Hearts and Hooves Day. He would be with his Sweet on Hearts and Hooves day! Maybe he could ask her if he could be his super special somepony! He smiled and continued the letter.
"I can't wait to see you again, Sweets."
He swallowed a lump in his throat and slowly typed as he ended the letter...
"Love, Blueberry"
He took the piece of paper from the dock and tucked it away into an envelope, but before he would give it to Puddy, he decided to go to his stove and boil blueberries, holding the letter above the steam so the scent of berries stuck to the envelope. After he made sure the envelope had a nice smell to it, he stuck a sticker to the back to seal it and gave it to Puddy. "Get it to'er as soon as y'can, Pudds," he requested. "And here, some berries fer later." He scooped up a little basket of blueberries for Puddy to munch on and prumped it to him, smiling. "Think of it as a tip."

When the mail pony was allowed in, he made his way to the blueberries when the other pony started to direct his attention to the pink letter. The blueberry eating pony could hear giggles coming from the other room. And of course when Blueberry walked back over, Puddys cheeks were stuffed with the little fruits. He nodded, took the letter and the tip and started to head out of the door. He was tired but he was able to get to Peachs house a little bit after dark; he would've waited till tomorrow but He could smell the scent on the letter and didn't want it to fade. When he arrived at SPs house, she welcomed him in and decided he should just stay the night since it was late. The tired pony agreed and soon feel asleep on her couch- after giving her the letter.
When Sweets read the letter, she blushed and giggled. "Ah, h'ow adorable!" She squealed. "Love, Blueberry" When she read, she could smell the scent of blueberries, a fruit that was becoming one of her favorites. She agreed then, he would come to Buckham and they would spend a great amount of time together. That's when she put the letter down and checked the calendar. "Oh My," She said, blushing a little bit. Hearts and Hooves day is right around the corner and if BC comes over he will be here during that holiday; she sighed dreamily at the thought. If he didn't asked her to be his very special somepony, she would have to ask him herself! Well- enough daydreaming, time to write.
"To my Darling, I hope you can make it! I have been long to see you for the longest time. I will make arrangements so you can sleep at my little old farm while you are here. I do expect a few berries from you, I will pay for them and all that hoo-hah. Be sure to be safe on your way over here, I do not want a hair out of place when I see you. Your letter smelled divine, by the way. I love the smell of blueberries before bed. Well, enough of this chit-chat, get over here, I miss you, you strong stallion!" With love, Sweet Peach"
Once finished, she took the letter, placed it nicely in the envelope and sealed it with a little pink sticker like she did before. When she noticed Puddy was asleep, she didn't bother waking him. She set the letter down by her typewriter and slept, excited to get her letter out the next morning. And when that next morning came, Puddy was delivering that letter to the sweetheart of the one who wrote it. Of course, Sweets sprayed some of her perfume on the envelope before his leaving and gave him a few peaches for his trip. Later, Puddy was a-knockin' on Cobbler's door, ready to give him the letter.
