Ah nighttime. It was the only real time of day others could enjoy her recreational creations, but that wasn't why she was out tonight. The clear night sky just served as a sort of inspiration for future projects. Of course watching the sky instead of where one's going does have its drawbacks. As she trotted along as cheery as could be she managed to run face fist into a street lamp. Upon doing so she shook her head and gave a rather annoyed expression. True it was her own fault, but as far as she was concerned that didn't matter. Shortly after she noticed something out of the corner of her eye. Somepony walked out of one of the nearby buildings and... grabbed something? That was fairly odd behavior. With her curiosity peaked she headed over to said building and looked in only to find the swaying strands of beads. The gaudy interior did leave her speechless for a moment before remembering why she wandered there in the first place. "...somepony needs to hire an interior decorator..." the orange mare muttered under her breath before speaking at normal volume. "Hello? Is anypony here?" she began, her horn glowing yellow as she used her magic to part the beads. Of course the sane option would be to go for help, but Crossette grew up traveling and travelers tended to have to solve issues with minimal assistance.

"Part of your cutiemark my flank-! The stink of roanwolf is all over hi-HEY!" Wesley was about to move in for an attack when what looked like a heavy burlap tarp was dropped on top of him. "Hey up here-! This way, follow me-!" An orange batpony on a nearby roof waved to Puddy and Hazel before taking off over the town buildings. Seems he wanted them to follow him to safety while Wesley was wrestling with his tarpy prison.

Hazel jumped backwards when the tarp dropped onto Wesley. When she heard somepony call down to them she looked upwards. It a strange pony with bat wings. He wanted them to follow him. It suddenly click in her head, she remembered this bat pony. "I know him, come on Puddy." she said and began to run down the streets parallel to Joey up on the buildings.

A bit taken back by the tarp as well, Puddy moved back. He looked up, seeing Joey- Pud new who he was also. He started after Hazel after the mare started to run after the orange batpony. Where was Joey going to take them? The dhampony knew what they looked like now- at least Puddy- and knew what he was. He might be hunted now. That would suck..

Dusty snaps his head back to look at the doorway and drops low. “Just my bloody luck…” He wipers to his self as he keeps to the shadows. At times like this, he wish her was not so large… His eyes look over the room for tools to help him here but he saw nothing to use full. If he jumped out a window, something will see him. If jumps the pony at the door, she can cry out before he can shove an appeal in her muzzle… she, he keeps put and holds his time for her to come in to the room with him. The closer she is before he jumps, the better… And if push comes to shove… He moves his hat some. He hoped he did not have to do that…

Crossette may not choose to handle situations in the best possible way, but she wasn't overly dense. She knew she saw someone... or at least she thinks she did. She did just hit her head on the street lamp outside before seeing him so there was a chance of it being a hallucination. Better safe than sorry though. Upon not seeing anypony she slowly entered the room whilst her mind started going over what spells could be best for this situation. This unicorn was never the best at magic, but she wasn't too horrid either. If push came to shove she had some decent options for self defense. Granted she'd have to reimburse the owner for damaged property since almost all her not-so-common spells involve her talent with explosives. She wasn't planning on harming anypony. Just hopefully scaring the possible thief away.

When Wesley finally got the tarp off his face, he looked around and saw his quarry had escaped. Letting out a loud curse and snarl, he stomped off, leaving hoofprints in the dirt. Ornery and frustrated, he stromped into the nearest pub to drink off his anger. Meanwhile in his own shop, a strange blue pony looked out his window, his sharp ears catching the sounds of strange goings-ons in Colton. Feanaro, a young elven pony, decided to be alert to protect his music repair shop. He was still new to this town, and was unaware of its dangers.

Hazel kept running through the streets, following after Joey who was also still running above. Glancing back at Puddy to make sure he was still following. She noticed that the hunter wasn't following them. "Hey, Joey!" she called out to him. "We're not being chased anymore, can we slow down!?"

When Hazel called to Joey to ask if they could slow down Puddy just stopped. He was to tired. Panting, he looked up at Joey and Hazel. He cant run anymore. He is a chubby pony and running was the enemy! If he was Hyde, the story would be different. He could outrun them all.
